We are the offshore

A couple weeks ago I had to lay of 3 of my 5 permanent employees. The company deemed that for 2 of them that their “context” jobs (database administrators) should be located in a “low cost country”. The third employee who was employed in a “core” role was laid off because after the “organizational design and selection” process some guy in France was deemed more qualified. He was a great employee. I talked to the guy in France and he doesn’t even want this role. Fun times ahead….
